Terms of Service

The rules of the road for using our website. Client work is governed by separate agreements — this page covers the site itself.

Last updated: June 30, 2026

1. Our Services

BFV Consulting ("BFV," "we," "us," or "our") provides technology consulting services. We build software, infrastructure, and AI/ML systems using an AI-powered delivery model: AI agents execute the work under the direction and review of senior human architects.

Our service areas include:

  • Software engineering (full-stack development, API design, system architecture)
  • AI & ML solutions (model development, LLM integration, MLOps)
  • DevOps & platform engineering (CI/CD, infrastructure, observability)
  • Security consulting (audits, compliance automation, SecOps)

This website (bfv.dev) describes what we offer and provides ways to get in touch. The content on this site is for informational purposes and does not constitute a binding offer of services.

2. Client Engagements

All consulting work is governed by a separate, mutually signed Statement of Work (SOW) or Master Services Agreement (MSA). The terms on this page apply to your use of the website, not to paid engagements. If there is any conflict between these website terms and a signed SOW or MSA, the signed agreement takes precedence.

Nothing on this website creates a client relationship. A client relationship begins only when both parties sign a written agreement. Submitting a contact form or booking a discovery call does not obligate either party to enter into an engagement.

3. Intellectual Property

Client deliverables. Upon full payment, clients own all deliverables produced under a signed SOW — including code, documentation, infrastructure-as-code, and design assets. We do not retain licenses, backdoors, or dependency claims on work you have paid for.

Pre-existing materials. BFV retains ownership of tools, libraries, frameworks, templates, processes, and AI agent configurations that we developed prior to the engagement or that we develop independently during the engagement ("Pre-Existing Materials"). If Pre-Existing Materials are included in a deliverable, you receive a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use them as part of that deliverable.

Website content. All content on bfv.dev — including text, images, logos, and design — is owned by BFV Consulting and protected by applicable copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our website content without our written permission.

4. Confidentiality

We treat all information you share with us — whether through our website forms, during discovery calls, or throughout an engagement — as confidential. We will not disclose project details, business information, or technical data to third parties without your consent, except as required by law.

For formal engagements, we are happy to sign a mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before detailed discussions begin. Just ask — it is a standard part of how we operate.

Our internal AI infrastructure processes data under strict access controls. Client code and data are never used to train AI models.

5. Website Use

You may use our website for lawful purposes. By using the site, you agree not to:

  • Submit false or misleading information through our forms.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or extract data from the site in a way that disrupts its operation.
  • Attempt to compromise the security of the site, its API endpoints, or its underlying infrastructure.
  • Upload malicious files through the careers form or any other submission mechanism.

We reserve the right to block access to the site from IP addresses or networks that engage in any of the above.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The website and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We make reasonable efforts to keep the information on this site accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that it is complete, error-free, or current.

We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors or harmful components. Use the site at your own risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BFV Consulting shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — arising from your use of (or inability to use) this website, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of the website is limited to the amount you have paid to BFV Consulting, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim. For website visitors who have not entered into a paid engagement, this means our liability is capped at zero dollars — reflecting the fact that we provide this site as a free informational resource.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the website shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If the changes are material, we may post a notice on the site.
