Privacy Policy

We believe in being clear about what data we collect and why. Here's the full picture — in plain English, not legalese.

Last updated: June 30, 2026

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information you choose to give us. We do not use analytics cookies, tracking scripts, or advertising pixels. The website itself collects nothing passively — no IP logging, no fingerprinting, no session recording.

Here is what each form on our site collects when you submit it:

  • Email address
  • Company name (optional)
  • Message / project description

  • Industry
  • Project description
  • Additional notes (optional)
  • Selected date and time slot
  • Browser timezone (used to display availability in your local time)

Careers Form

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Position you are applying for
  • Resume file (PDF, DOC, DOCX, RTF, or TXT; maximum 5 MB)
  • Cover message (optional)

Resume files are transmitted in their entirety and stored as email attachments. Uploaded files are scanned for malware before processing.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide for exactly these purposes, and nothing else:

  • Contact form submissions: To read your message and respond to your inquiry.
  • Booking calendar submissions: To schedule a discovery call, send you a calendar invitation and Google Meet link, and prepare for the conversation.
  • Career applications: To evaluate your fit for open positions and reach out if we would like to move forward.

We do not use your information for marketing automation, behavioral profiling, automated decision-making, or any form of AI training. We do not send newsletters or marketing emails unless you have separately opted into one.

3. Data Retention

  • Contact and booking data: Retained for the duration of our business relationship. If an inquiry does not lead to an engagement, we may retain correspondence for reference for up to 24 months, after which it is deleted.
  • Career application data (including resumes): Retained for 12 months from the date of submission. After 12 months, resumes and associated application data are deleted.

You can request earlier deletion of your data at any time by emailing info@bfv.dev.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties for their own commercial purposes. Period.

Your data may pass through the following infrastructure providers as part of normal operations:

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Our website, API endpoints, and email delivery run on AWS infrastructure in the US East region. Form data is processed by AWS Lambda functions and delivered via Amazon SES. Data at rest is encrypted using SSE-S3. Access is governed by least-privilege IAM policies.

Google Workspace

Booking calendar submissions create events in a Google Calendar and may generate Google Meet video conference links. Data processed through Google Calendar is governed by the Google Workspace Terms of Service. We use a standard Google Workspace account; no data is shared with Google for advertising or AI training purposes.

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or valid legal process. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before doing so, unless prohibited by law.

5. Cookies

We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party cookies of any kind.

The only data stored in your browser is your dark mode preference, saved in localStorage. This is an accessibility preference, not a tracking mechanism. It never leaves your browser and is never transmitted to our servers.

Because we place no tracking cookies, we do not display a cookie consent banner. There is nothing to consent to.

6. Security

We take reasonable and industry-standard measures to protect the information you submit:

  • TLS in transit: All traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS.
  • Encryption at rest: Form data and email attachments stored on AWS S3 are encrypted using SSE-S3.
  • Least-privilege access: AWS IAM policies restrict data access to only the specific Lambda functions and roles that require it.
  • Honeypot anti-bot protection: All forms include hidden fields that automated bots fill in but humans cannot see, allowing us to silently discard bot submissions.
  • Malware scanning: Uploaded resume files are scanned for malware before being accepted.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we follow practices appropriate for the sensitivity of the data we handle.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request that we correct or update your information.
  • Request that we delete your information (subject to any legal obligations we may have to retain it).
  • Ask questions about how your data is handled.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@bfv.dev. We will respond within 30 days.

For questions specific to the contact or booking forms, you can also reach us at sales@bfv.dev.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date at the top. If the changes are material, we may also post a notice on the website. Because we do not collect your information passively, we do not have a mechanism to proactively notify past form submitters of policy changes.

9. Contact
